The Bremen Town Musicians

Calling all kids grades 3-8!
Red Mask Players Children's Theater will hold auditions for "The Bremen Town Musicians" by Claudia Haas on March 1 & 2 at 6 pm.
"The Bremen Town Musicians" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale about four aging animals- a donkey, dog, cat, and rooster- who are mistreated by their owners and run away to become musicians in Bremen. On their journey, they discover a cottage in the woods and scare robbers away from it by stacking on top of each other and making a fierce racket. They decide to stay in the cottage instead of continuing to Bremen, finding a happy home together. The story highlights themes of friendship, teamwork, and finding a new purpose in old age.
Cast size: 14
The audition will consist of reading from portions of the play.
Scripts are available at these public libraries: Danville, Oakwood, Catlin, Westville.
Performances for local schools will be May 4-8.
Public performances are May 8-10.
